Introduction

Sharing a personal and collective code of conduct in the form of a common set of standards is a way of ensuring internal consistency and helps to enhance the Group’s corporate image. This code of ethics must safeguard good conduct in our day-to-day operations. It applies to all employees working at all of Mersen’s subsidiaries. Here are its key points.

Relationships with Competitors, Customers and Suppliers

  • Agreements and collusion with competitors
    Mersen must not be a party to any form of collusion setting prices or production or sales quotas in a bid to oust a rival from the market.
  • Conflicts of interest
    Mersen employees must not enter into any transactions with businesses in which they themselves or their entourage have interests.
  • Unjustified commissions of financial benefits
    No advantage or financial benefit can be offered directly or indirectly to third parties for the sole purpose of securing or maintaining a business transaction.

    Every employee must ensure the data that s/he processes is protected effectively.

  • Insider trading
    Mersen employees privy to privileged information related to the Company are prohibited from trading
    Mersen shares until the information has been fully disclosed to the public.
  • Use of corporate assets
    The Group’s funds and its tangible and intangible assets must not be used for any unlawful purposes or for any purpose bearing no relation to Mersen’s business activities.
  • Use of new information and communication technologies
    The communication systems and equipment provided by the Group belong to Mersen, which makes them available to its employees for business purposes. It is vital for employees to abide by the Group Charter on the use of IT and telecommunications systems.
