Carbon brushes are devices that transfer electrical current in motors and electric generators.

Made with artificial graphite, an excellent electrical conductor, carbon brushes transmit the electricity from a fixed part to a mobile part. They are to be held by a brush-holder in order to be continuously in contact with the collector or the rings
