HIGH PURITY GRAPHITE IN SEMICONDUCTOR AND PV INDUSTRY

High purity graphite equipment is adapted to high-technology applications.

  • Optical fiber drawing: High purity graphite heater for fiber optic drawing furnace
  • Polysilicon manufacturing: high temperature insulation in silicon production process (Siemens process deposition reactor, STC recycling reactor, fluidized bed reactor)
  • Wafer manufacturing: (CZ puller and DSS furnace)
  • Brazing and sealing for electronic packages (graphite jigs)
  • Semiconductor, compound semiconductor and PV industry: supports (ultra-pure graphite, SiC coated) and protective screens (graphite)

Mersen has developed processes designed to significantly improve the physicochemical properties of materials, particularly when required for high-tech applications subjected to high stresses:

  • Purity constraints
  • Cleanliness constraints
  • Resistance to process reagents
  • Resistance to hydrogen above 900 °C.
