Why counterfeit products are dangerous
Some counterfeit products may appear authentic at first glance:
- similar molding,
- similar color,
- imitated labeling.
However, these products do not come from Mersen factories, have not been tested according to Mersen quality standards, and do not offer any performance or safety guarantees.
Mersen cannot accept any responsibility or liability for products that:
- Are not manufactured by Mersen,
- Are purchased outside of authorized distribution channels,
- Do not comply with Mersen specifications and standards.
Counterfeit products are not covered by Mersen warranties, and their performance and safety cannot be guaranteed.

Proven risks to safety and installations
International analyses show that counterfeit goods — particularly in electronics — pose significant risks to consumer health and safety, due to lack of compliance with standards, absence of quality control, and the use of substandard components.
Experts also highlights that counterfeit electronic products can lead to critical failures, overheating, or fire hazards, as they do not meet required safety specifications. -
