By showcasing its solutions, Mersen confirms its commitment to supporting the energy transition and the move towards more powerful, efficient and cost-effective solar systems.

The rise of large-scale installations is driving rapid changes in technical requirements. 800 V AC is now becoming the standard of choice due to its efficiency benefits and lower installation costs.
Mersen offers proven, robust solutions that are widely used in the field. The company is currently the only European manufacturer to offer both fuses and fuse switch disconnectors, ensuring optimal compatibility and maximum performance for installations.
However, the most strategic development is the arrival of 2000 V DC, the next step for large solar power plants with central inverters. This increase in voltage allows more modules to be integrated per string while reducing the current, resulting in:
- lower energy losses,
- smaller cable cross-sections and fewer components,
- substantial savings in installation costs (CAPEX),
- better overall efficiency,
- lower LCOE (levelised cost of electricity).
The market is rapidly evolving towards ever more powerful architectures. Our mission is to support this transition by offering reliable solutions that are already widely adopted for 1500 V DC / 800 V AC systems and ready for the transition to 2000 V DC.
