Due to its manufacturing process, SiC is an extremely pure, chemically inert material and has a high thermal shock resistance. Mersen SiC heat exchangers have exceptional thermal conductivity, which gives them a substantial advantage in terms of compactness and reactivity over PFA or PTFE heat exchangers.
