Fuses

Mersen 1500 V PSC fuse-links provide maximum flexibility in equipment design and ultimate protection for today’s power conversion equipment. These square body fuse-links are available in three different body sizes, each size having four worldwide acceptable mounting styles. The different mounting styles and body sizes along with a broad range of ampere ratings allow greatest flexibility in equipment design.
The Mersen PSC fuses have been engineered to provide state-of-the-art protection for SCR’s, diodes, thyristors, GTO’s and IGBT devices. They have pure silver die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand which helps control arcing characteristics for low I²t and high breaking capacity. All contact surfaces are silver plated and all hardware is non-magnetic.
All fuse links are equipped with a low voltage trip-indicator. This trip-indicator can operate a field mountable microswitch which is easily mounted directly on to the fuse even while in service.

The 690/700V Protistor® fuse-links provide maximum flexibility in equipment design and ultimate protection for today's power conversion equipment. These NH style fuse-links are defined as per DIN 43620/00 for a worldwide acceptance into NH modular system fuse-holders, fuse switch disconnectors for direct installation.
The Protistor® have been engineered to provide state-of-the-art protection for semiconductors: diodes, thyristors, GTO's and IGBT devices. Fuses are assembled with pure silver, die-cut elements embedded in solidified sand, which helps control arcing characteristics for a lower I²t and high interrupting rating level. All contact surfaces are silver plated and all hardware is non-magnetic.
Each fuse-link can be equipped with a low voltage trip-indicator which can operate a field mountable microswitch.

Mersen DC offers provide a very high performant protection for railway power and auxiliary circuits. Mersen DC Semiconductor fuse-links were developed to provide improved performance required by today's new DC equipment. These fuse-links are typically operated at more elevated temperature than other fuse type, have lower I²t to minimize damage to protected components on short circuits, lower watts loss and longer life.
